A visit to measure and assess the work, followed by a written itemised quotation. The fee comes off your final invoice if you go ahead.
What you get

- Measuring and assessing the work you have described
- An assessment of whether the work is feasible as you have described it
- A written, itemised quotation covering scope of work, price, and an outline of materials and timescale
We provide the written quotation within 10 working days of the survey visit. The quotation is valid for 60 days from the date we send it.
What it does not include
- Structural calculations or engineer drawings
- Planning applications or building regulations submissions
- Opening up floors, walls or ceilings to inspect what is behind them
- Asbestos, damp, electrical or gas safety surveys
If any of these are needed, we will tell you in the quotation and set out what they would cost.
Your 14-day cancellation right
You can cancel within 14 days of ordering and get a full refund. By default we will not carry out the survey during those 14 days, so your right to a full refund stays intact throughout.
If you want the visit sooner, tell us in writing when we contact you to arrange a date and we will confirm your request by email. Full details are in our Cancellation and Refunds Policy and Terms and Conditions.
