Who we share it with

We share personal information only with organisations that help us run the business:

  • Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. for card payment processing
  • our website hosting provider
  • our email provider
  • our accountant, for bookkeeping and tax
  • suppliers and subcontractors, where they need the property address to deliver materials or carry out part of the work
  • our insurers and, if necessary, our legal advisers

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.

Some of these providers may process information outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the UK Government’s adequacy regulations or on the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum approved by the Information Commissioner.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that do not lead to work: 12 months, then deleted.
  • Quotations that are not accepted: 12 months, then deleted.
  • Records of work we have carried out, including invoices: 6 years after the work is completed. This is because of our tax obligations and because claims relating to building work can be brought against us for several years.
  • Photographs of completed work: for as long as we use them, and we remove them on request.
  • Marketing consents: until you withdraw them.

Your rights

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • ask us to correct information that is wrong
  • ask us to delete information, where we have no continuing reason to keep it
  • ask us to restrict how we use it
  • object to us using it on the basis of legitimate interests
  • ask us to transfer it to you or to someone else in a machine-readable format, where we hold it on the basis of consent or contract
  • withdraw consent at any time, where consent is the basis we rely on

To exercise any of these rights, email info@oakspire.co.uk. We will respond within one month.

We do not make any decisions about you by automated means, and we do not carry out profiling.

Our services are aimed at property owners and we do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18.
